(6th – 12th Grade)

Impacting the Next Generation

Middle and High School students at the beginning of a journey of making faith their own. They are eager to discover answers to big questions in life and how a relationship with Jesus could change their lives, their schools, and our city.

In addition to our Sunday morning experiences, Students meet together separately in the evenings on Sunday or Tuesday by campus. This environment includes games, a live band, a practical teaching moment and a time of guided group discussion.

Student Gatherings

Whether you are at our Torrance or Manhattan Beach campus, join us as we gather for in-person games, worship and groups.  See below for the details starting September 12th:

Stay Connected

We believe the best way to feel connected and find a place to belong is by joining a life group where students of the same grade and gender can meet regularly.

All volunteers must have an approved background check before serving in student ministries.

Doors open 30 minutes before the service starts. This gives students an opportunity to connect with friends and leaders, usually over a snack or a game, then the program begins.

Gatherings typically include games, singing, a story, a brief message, and time for group discussion.

We welcome every student, whether you are claiming to follow Jesus or not, so come as you are.

We want to create an environment where everyone feels comfortable even if they are still in process of figuring out what faith means as they mature into adulthood.

Each student gathering is lead by one of our student pastors Nick Williamson and or Ashley Diehl. Each week your student(s) will hear what it means to better integrate faith in their day-to-day lives.

For safety and environment culture we only allow parents who are volunteers to attend student gatherings.  Volunteers must also complete an approved background check on file with Journey of Faith.

If you are interested in sharing the experience with your student, we welcome you to apply as volunteer. Simply fill out this form to get started.

The best way is to sign-up for our student E-mail newsletter here.

With that said, our student ministries YouTube page or Instagram accounts at @ignite_sb or @amplifiedsb are also good locations to keep in the know on events and updates.
